  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup crispy cooked Turkey Bacon, crumbled
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meat sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, brown 1 lb of ground beef. Add diced onion and sauté until soft, then stir in minced garlic. Mix in marinara sauce, crumbled turkey bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the béchamel: In a saucepan, melt 3 tbsp butter and whisk in 3 tbsp flour. Gradually add 2 cups of milk while stirring until thickened. Stir in grated Parmesan and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer the meat sauce in a baking dish, followed by cooked lasagna noodles and béchamel. Repeat layers and top with mozzarella, cheddar, and additional Parmesan.
  4. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until bubbly. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
