  • 15.25 ounce chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 2 pounds vanilla almond bark
  • Candy eyes
  • Pectin-based gummy candies
  • Orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and prepare the cake batter by mixing together cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and water until smooth.
  2. Bake the mixture according to package directions and let it cool completely.
  3. Beat cream cheese until fluffy, then crumble the cooled cake into it and mix until combined.
  4. Form small balls from the mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill them in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  5. Melt almond bark over low heat, then dip each chilled ball into it and place back on the baking sheet.
  6. While still soft, decorate with candy eyes and pectin-based gummy candies. Add orange spikes using colored almond bark if desired.
  7. Chill again until set before serving.
