  • 1 1/2 cups chopped toasted pecans
  • Glaze: 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Toast pecans on a baking sheet for about 5–7 minutes until fragrant.
  2. In a bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; stir gently until combined.
  6. Fold in toasted pecans.
  7. Scoop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
  8. Cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. For the glaze, melt butter and brown sugar; stir in milk and whisk in powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
