  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup freshly shaved parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz uncooked rotini pasta
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  1. In your crockpot, combine chicken breasts, minced garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and chicken broth.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
  3. Shred the chicken in the pot, then stir in parmesan cheese, heavy cream, and uncooked rotini pasta. Cover and cook on low for another 30 minutes or high for 15 minutes.
  4. While cooking, sauté bread crumbs in butter until golden brown.
  5. Serve soup topped with shredded mozzarella and sautéed bread crumbs.
