  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/3 cup hot pepper jelly

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.

  3. Add the flour, salt, and garlic powder; mix until a dough forms.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for about 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  7. Press a thumbprint into each ball and fill with approximately 1/2 tsp of hot pepper jelly.
  8. Bake for 13–15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
