  • ½ cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • 1½ tablespoons all-purpose flour (plus extra for rolling)

  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • Powdered sugar (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a bowl, combine almond flour, brown sugar, softened butter, flour, egg, almond extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until just combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface into an 11×11 square and cut into twenty-four 2×2 inch squares.
